Please join us for the inaugural Australian Capital Endoscopy Symposium (ACES). ACES will be a cutting edge meeting focused on both luminal and pancreaticobiliary endoscopy. We have an expert faculty attending to help facilitate evidence-based discussion on guidelines, surveillance, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Saturday will involve a combination or didactic lectures interspersed with live endoscopic cases transmitted from Canberra Hospital. ACES 3rd Space Ex vivo Tissue Resection Lab

LIMITED NUMBERS. A dedicated half day session using ex vivo pig models focused on endoscopic submucosal dissection. The aim will be to go through techniques of endoscopic submucosal dissection, knives, diathermy settings, traction principles and tips and tricks for optimising resection technique. It will include a 60min introductory talk followed by 4hours of “hands on” time with ex vivo pig stomachs to practise the techniques discussed. In order to maximise time on the models and supervision there will be a very limited number of delegates allowed to register for this event. There will be close training and supervision from a national and internationally renowned faculty of third space endoscopists.

This course is aimed at endoscopists with EMR experience who wish to try their hand at third space endoscopy, or those early in their third space career who wish to learn some tips and tricks from national and international experts in the field. Please include a short paragraph on your endoscopy experience thus far so we can tailor the course appropriately.

Aimed at: Early to mid career hepatobiliary interventional endoscopists and fellows.
LIMITED NUMBERS. This will be a 2hr session with world renowned international expert Dr Nageshwar Reddy and national expert A/Prof Philip Craig focused on ERCP. It will be a small group session, with a limited number of delegates to facilitate an open and interactive discussion. The experts will lead a case-based discussion around optimising ERCP cannulation techniques, minimising and managing intra and post procedural complications and discussion of tricky and challenging cases including challenges in pancreatic endotherapy. Delegates are encouraged to bring cases with them for discussion.
