Welcome to the inaugural Australian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Instructional Course. This course has been designed for SET trainees interested in expanding their knowledge of foot and ankle conditions. The course will involve a combination of clinical examination sessions with local patients in a ‘bone school’ format as well as lectures, small group tutorials and a practice written exam. Over one-and-a-half days, registrants will cover examinable topics including tibialis posterior tendon dysfunction, charcot arthropathy, the rheumatoid foot, management of trauma to the foot and ankle, osteochondral defects of the ankle and ankle instability. The faculty will consist of foot and ankle society members as well as prior examiners.

Places are limited so we encourage registrars to apply for leave and register early for the course to avoid disappointment.

We also encourage you to stay for the Foot and Ankle Society Annual Scientific meeting held immediately afterwards at the Marriott Surfers Paradise. Registration for the instructional course is free for registrars attending the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you there.
